Small but perfectly formed, each apartment is open-plan – divided into a living area with a kitchen that has everything you could possibly need and features a cosy bedroom area, complete with modern furnishings. The bathroom benefits from full sized bath and rain shower. This is the perfect location for couples or single travellers wanting a convenient base to explore the surrounding area.

The Studio Pods are located in the charming Victorian spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast. Set in the heart of Milton Street. Here you’ll find restaurants, cafes, bars and independent shops. Step outside for delightful walks through the valley gardens or enjoy the victorian heritage with a walk along the promenade and out to sea on the 150 year old pier and the award winning beach. The beach was named as a top destination for surfing in the UK. Situated at the northern tip of the North York Moors, Saltburn-by-the-Sea is the perfect tourist destination for anyone wanting to explore the local delights, sample the mouth-watering fish and chips available at The Seaview Restaurant or try the culinary delights by locals stalls at the monthly farmers market or the annual Saltburn Food Festival.

If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and the lovely Saltburn is featured. Walk / travel down the coast to a choice of quaint seaside villages or, alternatively, try inland and explore the beautiful countryside (North Yorkshire Moors and Cleveland Hills). Some of the highlights are Skinningrove / Cattersty beach (4.6 miles), the quaint fishing villlage of Staithes (9.3 miles) and the amazing Runswick Bay(11.3 miles; then continue on to Whitby (22.9 Miles) and Scarborough.(40.9 Miles)

Stonehouse Bakery is a small craft bakery based in Station Square in Saltburn and is dedicated to producing high quality craft breads and bakery products. Every day a wide range of products is handmade using natural ingredients without the use of artificial additives or preservatives.

Directions From A174 (westbound)

At the large Quarry Heads Roundabout (between Marske, Saltburn and Skelton), continue on the A174 (signposted Stockton / Middlesbrough A66 / Redcar A174). Straight on at the next roundabout (signposted Stockton / Redcar A174 / Middlesbrough A66). A mile ahead is another roundabout at which you take the third exit (signposted Redcar B1269). Almost immediately you reach another roundabout, take the first exit (Plantation Road). Continue for 800 yards then turn right onto Larkswood Road. At the T junction at the end of Larkswood Road turn right onto West Dyke Road. Continue for half a mile. Redcar Primary Care Hospital is on your left hand side.

James Cook Hospital, It has a 24-hour emergency department which houses the major trauma centre for Durham, East Cleveland, Tees Valley and North Yorkshire and has its own helipad.

Directions from A174. Turn off the A174 at the third junction marked A172 Middlesbrough Centre and Stokesley – turn left onto the A172 heading towards Middlesbrough centre. Go straight across at the first major set of traffic lights (large crossroad) and continue for about half a mile until you see The James Cook University Hospital on the right-hand side. Turn into the main entry road to The James Cook University Hospital and follow car park signs.
